Tornado Warning expires for parts of Collier Co.

UPDATE (12:23PM) - From the NWS: The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area, therefore the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for south central Collier County until 12:30pm.

At 11:55am, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Everglades City, moving northeast at 25mph.

At 12:11pm, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Ochopee, moving northeast at 25 mph.

Locations impacted include Everglades City, Ochopee, Carnestown, and Plantation Island.
