Sievers' family reacts to newly released details

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.-  The family of beloved Bonita Springs doctor Teresa Sievers continues their fight for justice as new details come to light in her murder.

The State Attorney's office releasing hundreds of pages of documents that reveal Teresa's husband Mark could have played a key role in her murder. The girlfriend of one of the men accused of killing Sievers told detectives that Mark Sievers hired is life long friend , Curtis Wayne Wright, to kill her.

With new details emerging, Teresa's sister said her family is now more on edge than ever before as they continue  to beg for closure.

"As soon as his best friend was arrested we were all quite concerned," Sievers' sister Annie Lisa said.

Annie Lisa said her family  fears for the safety of her two young nieces.

"We are very upset, we are very concerned about my sister's daughters, about their safety, about their well being," Annie Lisa said.

Annie Lisa said she hasn't been allowed to have any contact with her nieces but does trust that authorities are keeping them safe. She said keeping her hopes high that this investigation will wrap up sooner rather than later so her family can finally be at peace.

Throughout the family's nightmare, Annie Lisa said her focus has been to shine a light on her sisters legacy and make sure it lives on.

"It will all work out in the end and your girls will be in good hands. We're going to make sure they're taken care of just the way you wanted them to be and they'll never forget what a wonderful mother they had and they'll be instrumental in carrying on your legacy of helping people," Annie Lisa said.
