Police found a teacher dead and her husband with a gunshot wound to the hand and chest after responding to a shooting, Saturday.
North Port Police say Holly Fisher took her won life after firing at her husband, Jason Fisher.
Jason is recovering from his gunshot wounds at a local hospital and is in stable condition.
Holly Fisher was a teacher at Herron Creek Middle School.
Police confirmed with the Sarasota County School District that a grief counselors will be available for students and staff Monday Morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
