Large tree falls on Publix semi-truck carrying groceries in Plant City, HCSO says

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies are responding to a Publix semi-truck crushed by a large tree in Plant City Monday afternoon.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a downed tree in the 2400 block of Knights Griffin Road in Plant City. According to deputies, a tree fell on a Publix semi-truck, "cutting it in half and sending food and other items everywhere."

No one was hurt in the incident, deputies said.

Officials did not say if the semi-truck was parked or was moving when the tree fell on it.
