Four In Your Corner has uncovered new details about the former Cape Coral Hospital nurse accused of raping and threatening a patient he was trusted to treat. The suspect in this case, Jeovanni Hechavarria has since been fired but he's still legally allowed to practice in Florida.

The Department of Health has placed an emergency active restriction on his license meaning he can still legally work with female patients as long as another licensed employee is with him in the room.

Hechavarria is not facing any criminal charges for allegedly having sex with a 43 year old patient. The case is still under investigation. FOX 4 has obtained his personnel file shedding light on his past.

Hechavarria's file shows he interned with Lee Memorial in 2014 where he later was hired as a registered nurse. He worked on the second floor, treating patients in the east wing of the building. His license was originally issued on July 01, 2014. His last day with Cape Coral Hospital was on July 16, 2016.

Flipping through Hechavarria's file, Four In Your Corner found an impeccable background check and rave reviews from supervisors. There are "Spirit Nominations Forms" from employees and former patients who have nominated Hechavarria for being professional, caring, and always bringing "a little sense of humor into the room".

A spokesperson with Lee Memorial says the hospital never received any complaints from patients about Hechavarria but he was terminated in July 2016 without eligibility for rehire because of patient allegations of sexual rape.

Hechavarria's resume details he served in the armed forces as a hospital corpsman with Navy. He was charged to administer meds as well as intimate patient care like bathing, feeding, appointments and visitation.

In his file, there are also several pages where full pages of information are redacted. The hospital has chosen not release.
