A New Hampshire veteran and avid Star Wars fan had his dying wish granted earlier this week when he received a private screening of "The Last Jedi" with his friends and family.

According to WMUR-TV, Ron Villemaire is a Vietnam war veteran and has been a Star Wars junkie since the first film was released 40 years ago. Villemaire was planning on seeing the newest Star Wars film with his daughter, Elizabeth Natalie Louise Ngo. She bought advance tickets to "The Last Jedi" earlier this year.

But then, tragedy struck.

Villemaire was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer earlier this year, and was recently transferred to hospice care.

Hoping to grant her father's dying wish, Ngo reached out on Twitter in November asking for help, using the hashtag #RonsLastJedi.

Luckily, with the help of two local fire departments and a local movie theater, Villemaire's wish was granted.
