CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- The City of Cape Coral has started demolition of the waterside pavilion at the Cape Coral Yacht Club.
The yacht club says the pavilion isn't up to code, and tearing it down is cheaper than trying to repair it.
The demolition will cost $15,000.
The beach will be closed this week to allow the heavy equipment to clear the site. It will reopen on Saturday.
