CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators have charged a Port Charlotte teenager with making violent threats at The Academy School twice this month.

The 15-year-old boy, whom we are not identifying due to being a minor, has been charged with False Report Planting a Bomb WMD on State owned Property, a Felony.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, on April 7th there was a threat of violence written on a wall of the boy's restroom in Building A of the school.  Law enforcement was increased and numerous students did not attend classes the following day.

Then on Monday, a second threat of violence was written on a wall in the same boy's restroom. Investigators say it appeared to be written by the same individual.

School Resource Officers conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of the boy.  He was transported to Charlotte County Jail without incident on Monday and released to home detention.
