FORT MYERS, Fla. — Police have arrested two people for the Bank of America robbery that occurred on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 1511 Matthew Drive in Fort Myers.

Officer said Leroy Johnson was taken into custody without incident around 12:00 p.m. Friday.

A second suspect, Alfreda Dean was arrested and charged with robbery in the same crime and is currently being housed at the Lee County Jail.

Investigators arrested Dean in the vehicle they say was used in the robbery.

A Twitter post made at 12:39 p.m. Monday confirmed the robbery and stated that investigators were in the early stages of their inquiry.

Investigators say the suspect handed a teller a written note demanding cash. They were able to leave with an undisclosed amount of money.

"No weapons were seen or mentioned and all employees are safe with no injury," the department wrote.

Surveillance footage showed a male suspect wearing an auburn wig and a dress to conceal his identity.
