FORT MYERS, Fla. — It's been a series of head-spinning developments for students and staff at Gateway Charter High School.
It started Friday, when the Lee County Sheriff's Office showed up to investigate the possibility of threats made against the school - which was put on lockdown.
On Tuesday, parents were told they could pick up their kids early that very day.

The school says it offered that option to parents because of the continued presence of law enforcement on the campus.
School officials say it had created distraction for some students.
That same day, the school announced will go to "all mobile" learning on Wednesday.
Some parents told WFTX they suspected the school and/or Sheriff's Office aren't sharing everything that is known with them about the case.
Some also said they the announcement of the early pick-up option and the next-day shift to "all mobile" learning felt sudden.
