EVERGLADES, Fla.-- Snake hunters in the state made a record-breaking catch in the Everglades.

The South Florida Water Management posted the video on their Twitter page.

The 17-foot python was captured on December 1 at the Big Cypress National Preserve. It weighed 132 pounds.

Hunter Jason Leon caught it as part of the python elimination program. Our Palm Beach station says Leon will get $375 for catching the massive reptile.
