FCGU Police say they are unable to comment on a sexual assault incident because it's an active investigation.

"There is no threat to the community, as it involves persons known to each other," a university spokesperson said in an email to Fox 4.

Recent graduate Alex Miranda said he was surprised to hear of the incident, he said while at school students created a culture of accountability.

"At parties you know, when people go a little hard at first, next thing you know they are doing something they wouldn't normally be doing, their friends usually notice and take action."

The incident occurred in the slow summer months, but future FCGU students were on campus Wednesday for orientation.  Keeping safety was among some of the topics discussed.

"They told us if you press one of the blue buttons on campus the police will come within 90 seconds," said Jaynie Bentley.
