Missing North Fort Myers man with Down Syndrome located

**UPDATE (12PM)** -- William White has been located and is safe, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 50-year-old North Fort Myers resident who is described as having the mentality of a 12-year-old.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, William White has Down Syndrome and is 5’6” tall, 165 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He left his home in North Fort Myers on foot on Wednesday.

William was reportedly upset with his caretaker and left the residence without permission. William previously lived in Cape Coral and during a previous recovery, he was located on Hancock Bridge Parkway. 

William was last seen wearing a grey Hawaiian shirt with palm trees and red swim-style shorts that have a white stripe down the sides. William does not have any shoes.
