FORT MYERS, Fla. -- On Sunday, April 21, 2019 the Fort Myers Police Department will close the following roads beginning at approximately 2:15 – 2:30 p.m. for the 75th Annual Dunbar Easter Parade:
• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from Ford Street to Palm Avenue
• Palm Avenue from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Edison Avenue
• Edison Avenue from Palm Avenue to Ford Street
• Ford Street from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Edison Avenue
Directional sign boards and detours will be set up with instructions for motorists.
Those who wish to attend the parade are encouraged to arrive prior to 2:30 p.m. and find legal parking that does not disrupt the parade route. Anyone that is not attending the parade should seek an alternate route of travel to avoid any unnecessary delays.
The parade is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. and last for approximately 2 hours.
