LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Sad news out of Fort Myers Monday, as a retired K9 who served the Lee County Sheriff's Office for nine years has passed.
The sheriff's office announced it on their Facebook page Monday.
'Kaya' was assigned as a narcotics dog from May 2007 through November 2016.
After her retirement, Kaya lived with a sargeant and his family.
