COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies were called to the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County Wednesday due to reports of an armed man wearing a clown mask, but found no evidence of anything.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, just after noon Wednesday, students reported seeing a man wearing a clown mask and carrying a gun as he walked around campus on Davis Boulevard.
Deputies interviewed students and staff members and determined that nobody had actually seen a gunman.
The scene was cleared.
