CAPE CORAL, Fla. - A driver damaged mailboxes and palm trees on Skyline Boulevard in Cape Coral Thursday night.
Cape Coral Police say it happened around midnight.
Police say a black pick-up truck began its destructive path on Southwest 53rd Terrace. They say the truck then went south on Skyline Boulevard and hit four mailboxes.
Police say the truck then crossed over the median, and hit three palm trees. They say the truck finally came to a stop in front of a neighbor’s home.
That neighbor tells Fox 4 that the car damaged their front yard. They also say that the driver ran away, but was soon caught by police.
The neighbor says the passenger in the truck was taken to the hospital.
Fox 4 is working to confirm the information with police.
