PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Questions still remain in the Lehigh Acres double homicide case.

According to family and friends, Marc Earhart and Stephanie Cuevas-Mammen were killed inside their home on Oct. 27. But how or why the couple was murdered is still a mystery.

Right now, one of Marc’s friends is seeking peace and justice.

“We didn’t just lose him, he was taken,” said Greg Risi.

It’s been ten days since Earhart was murdered. His good friend and teammate, Greg Risi said the pain of not knowing how or why he was killed is a struggle.

“Not having those answers makes it even more difficult,” said Risi.

Risi and Earhart were on the same Airsoft team. Risi said they were like brothers.

“We’re a family. It’s a close-knit group,” said Risi. “We don’t invite just anyone to be on the team.”

He said Earhart was a great person, easy to be around and loved playing Airsoft.

He hopes justice prevails and questions are answered as to who killed Earhart and his girlfriend Stephanie Cueva-Mammen.

“So the family can find some peace. We can all find some peace,” Risi said.

On November 23rd, Earhart’s Airsoft team is holding a fundraiser at Operation 31 in Punta Gorda to honor and celebrate his life.

Right now, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the couple’s death as a double homicide.
