PUNTA GORDA, FL.- The Charlotte County man convicted in the murder of a 7-Eleven clerk in Punta Gorda wants a retrial.
An attorney filed a motion on behalf of Michael Russo who was found guilty in the death of Kyle Farishian.
Investigators say Russo shot and killed Farishian inside the 7-Eleven on Bal Harbour Drive in November 2015.
They say Russo set the place on fire to cover his tracks.
Russo faces life in prison. A judge will make a decision on July 17.
