PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- Investigators say a Punta Gorda man talked a woman into giving him a tour of her apartment, where he raped her.

40-year-old David Bradley, Jr. is facing charges of Sexual Battery, Grand Theft, and Tampering with a Witness.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, it started when Bradley approached the woman Sunday afternoon at the community pool of the Lakes of Tuscana apartment complex on Veterans Boulevard.

The victim told investigators that Bradley talked to her for about an hour, and claimed he was there visiting his parents.  He said he wanted to move to the complex, but wanted to get a tour of the woman's model before subletting it.

The victim had asked another person to accompany them to the apartment, but that person declined and offered to watch her belongings at the pool.

She says Bradley then drove her to the apartment, and as the tour made its way to the bedroom, she says Bradley began complimenting her on her body.  But when she denied his advances, he forcibly threw her onto the bed.

The report says Bradley force the woman to perform oral sex on him, but he was unable to penetrate her. Afterward he forced her to shower and clean up, and then he left with her phone.

The woman ran to get help from a friend and called deputies.

Investigators interviewed Bradley the next day and determined there was enough evidence for an arrest.
