LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Police are warning Southwest Florida residents of scam phone calls attempting to collect money for "shop with a cop".

Fort Myers Police say a citizen reported getting a call from an individual asking for donations to "shop with a cop".

The scammer claimed 911 calls would be delayed if contributions were not made.
