UPDATE 4PM:

During a routine code enforcement visit on Dec. 14, a police officer accompanying the enforcement officer ran VIN numbers from a few vehicles on the site. Some of them came back as stolen, including two semi-trucks.

The business is currently closed. Police have tried contacting the business owner but have not been able to reach them.

Those with vehicles at the facility will be able to retrieve them once the investigation is complete.

The Fort Myers Police Department has executed a search warrant at the location of a possible chop shop.

The scene is in the area of Edwards Street.

FMPD says they have located several stolen vehicles.

The investigation is ongoing.
