Hundreds of flights on Delta Airlines were delayed or canceled Friday due to a snow storm at the airline's main hub in Atlanta.

The ripple effect stranded passengers at Southwest Florida International Airport.

"We were scheduled to fly out at 3:15, that got canceled, we were scheduled to go standby, then we couldn't get on that," said Diane Waltrip.

Waltrip and her husband were flying to Sioux Falls, South Dakota for their great-grandson's baptism.  Instead they will head back to Naples and try and fly out tomorrow.

Kayla Swanson was stuck at the airport since 10:00 Friday morning, she was trying to get back home to Montana.

"We had no clue, they never sent us anything about Atlanta being a mess, we didn't find out a half hour before we were supposed to board."

Southwest Airlines also canceled a flight from Ft. Myers to Atlanta.

Passengers flying out Saturday should check with Delta or Southwest before heading to RSW.
