Passengers are happy with Thanksgiving travel experience

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Many of us are headed back home from the the busiest travel day of the year, Thanksgiving. According to a forecast by Airlines for America an estimated 31.6 million people traveled for the holidays.

However today is expected to be the busiest travel day ever with 3.1 million passengers expected to head home according to the organizations estimates.

One father says he’s been through many big airports but RSW seems to be catching up

“Like wow, it’s like Fort Myers is catching up to up north, because we spent a lot of time while i was in the military, we ere stationed up north we were in Virginia, DC, to see some of the stuff around here reminds me of some of the big airports, so that was good,” said Tobias Lance.

Another couple returning home from up north says it’s been quite calm.

“Its been calm everywhere, in Detroit I thought it was going to be really chaotic because it was the last day after the holiday weekend and it was super calm not busy,” said Michele Dykema.

And one woman adding despite concerns traveling this holiday season has been nice

I think you’re always worried about the weather and the lines but so far so good, said Jessica Barrett.
