ESTERO, Fla. — The Lee County School District is holding a meeting to discuss plans for the Kindergarten through Eighth-grade school on Three Oaks Parkway in Estero.

The meeting will take place from 6 Pm to 7:30 Pm in the gym of the Estero High School located on 21900 River Ranch Road in Estero.

The decision to build on this property was made after an April 22, 2020 Village of Estero Town Council Workshop consensus as to their preferred location.

The new school is at the beginning of the planning and design phase.

Construction is expected to start in 2022 and the school will open in August 2023.

It will be built for 1,600 students and have room for an expansion to 2,300 students when needed.

The community meeting will include a short presentation and a question-and-answer session.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, social distancing will be observed and guests are required to wear face masks.
