FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The trial for Jimmy Rodgers is underway. He's accused of murdering Dr. Teresa Sievers. But Teresa's husband, Mark Sievers, also appeared in court Monday to talk about his upcoming trial.
Mark Sievers is accused of orchestrating the murder. All along, we've been told his trial would follow immediately after Jimmy Rodgers's trial, which is currently in process.
Monday, the state suggested the trial be moved to January.
They said it would take a week longer than Rodgers's trial will take, and they expect jury selection to also be longer.
Still, the judge set Mark's trial for a date in November, saying it would be too tough to find a jury during the holidays.
