NORTH PORT, Fla. -- Police say a man has died, three days after crashing a scooter in North Port.
49-year-old James Reese passed away Monday at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
According to North Port Police, Reese was airlifted there on Friday following a serious crash. They say he was riding a motorized scooter on Grandview Avenue when he crashed into a parked vehicle.
Reese was ejected from the scooter onto the roadway, where he sustained critical injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Traffic Homicide Unit.
