Man caught using cocaine in Mercato restroom

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.--- One man arrested when he was found using cocaine in the restroom. 

The incident happened on the second floor of the Mercato Parking Garage in Naples on Sunday . 

According to an security guard, they heard a male shouting from the second floor and after hearing more shouting the employee went upstairs to investigate. 

The employee says they entered the bathroom and observed five males, two who were outside of the bathroom stall and three others who were in the stall, doing cocaine. 

Deputies were called to the scene were they say Vincent Longhitano, identified as one of the men in the restroom, was seen washing off a debit card trying to destroy potential evidence. 

Deputies say they attempted to retain Longhitano who then tried to get away. 

Longhitano dropped the card on the floor and it was picked up by another deputy as evidence.

Deputies placed Longhitano in handcuffs and tested the substance on his shirt, which tested positive for cocaine. 

Longhitano was transported to Naples Jail Center and is charged with possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence and resisting arrest without violence. 

Longhitano also has a warrant for his arrest in Colorado for bond forfeiture and possession of a controlled substance.
