LEHIGH ACRES, Fla — A man is facing some serious charges after Florida Highway Patrol says he hit two teens with his car in Lehigh Acres and drove off.
Troopers say it happened Friday night on 42nd Street West and Elaine Avenue.
They say two 15-year-old boys were walking west on the north side of 42nd Street West when a sedan hit them.
The 19-year-old driver of the sedan drove off.
The teens were taken to the hospital.
Troopers say one of the teens ended up dying at Lee Memorial Hospital, and the other had received minor injuries.
The 19-year-old driver was later found and arrested for Leaving the Scene with Death and Leaving the Scene involving Injury.
