FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fort Myers investigators are working to determine how a man found in a motel room died.
Crime scene units were called to the Travel Inn off Cleveland Ave. shortly before noon Thursday. There, they found the body of a man in his late 60s or early 70s inside one of the rooms.
Sergeant Glynn Thompson said initial investigation of the body shows no signs of trauma, and foul play does not appear to be involved.
Police are waiting to hear back from the coroner's office to finalize the cause of death.
The man's identity has not been released, pending family notification.
