LCSO employee arrested for sexual assault

LEE COUNTY, Fla. --- Lee County Deputies have arrested a man for sexual assault while posing as a police officer. 

Investigators say Ivan De Jesus Moreno came into contact with the victim while at work. 

Moreno who works as a Community Service Aide for the department, pretended to be an police officer and detained the victim and required the her to perform sexual acts on him. 

Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott released the following statement: 

“This kind of behavior is deplorable and we will not tolerate it in our community and certainly not from a member of our agency," says Sheriff Mike Scott.  "He betrayed the community's trust, this offices’ trust and we will not stand for it. We will enforce the laws across the board and continue to seek justice for the victim.” 

The victim reported the incident to officers after leaving the scene. 

Moreno has several charges pending against him including Impersonating a Law Enforcement Officer and False Imprisonment.
