LEE COUNTY, FLA — "I told you we were gonna get you. We got you. Justice is gonna be served and I'm waiting for you here in Lee county, the minute you get here."
That's the message a Southwest Florida mom, who asked to remain anonymous, left for Kyndall Hutchins last week.
The 33-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting her daughter last summer.
Hutchins was caught last week after leading police on a cross-country chase, that ended in Rhode Island.
"My daughter can have some peace now," she said.
That mother's message is clear, but it begs a follow-up question: when will he be brought back?
New documents from Rhode Island's Sixth district court show, he likely won't be extradited until sometime next week or later, because Hutchins has another court date with a judge up there, set for March 10, 2021.
Florida Gulf Coast University professor and attorney Pamella Seay says that court appearance may be to address charges he's likely now facing in Rhode Island.
That's because, on top of being a wanted fugitive, Hutchins is a registered sex offender who entered that state and didn't tell the proper authorities.
We've also learned through new documents, that he was picked up here at an Extended Stay America hotel, just outside of Providence, R.I., right next to an airport and two miles from a community college.
Rhode Island State Police say he was picked up with a woman and her child. And now there's a chance that woman could also be facing charges too.
"If she was helping him get out of the state, knowing that he's a fugitive from the law, knowing that he's wanted by police because of what he did and she knowingly helped him, then yes, she could be, but at this point, we just don't know what that relationship was," said Trish Routte of SWFL Crime Stoppers.
Above all else, what we do know is that back here in Florida, he'll definitely be facing charges for running and for taking off his ankle monitor.
"It's troubling that he was able to remove that ankle monitor," said Seay.
Hutchins is currently being held without bail in Rhode Island and he'll be denied bail when he gets back here.
