UPDATE -- The jury has come back with a verdict.

Casey Crowther has been found guilty on all four counts.

  • Count One — Bank fraud
  • Count Two — False statement to a lending institution
  • Count Three and four — Illegal monetary transaction

Sentencing will be determined at a later date.

Previously United States Attorney Maria Chapa Lopez Middle District of Florida said If convicted on all counts, Crowther faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in federal prison on each bank fraud and false statement count, and up to 10 years’ imprisonment for each illegal monetary transaction count.

This story is breaking and will be updated with the latest information as we receive it.

Casey Crowther appeared before Judge John Steele this week as he faced multiple charges.

Crowther is accused of bank fraud, providing a false statement to a lending institution, and completing illegal monetary transactions.

Before the trial, Crowther entered a plea of guilty to counts five and six of the second superseding indictment without the benefit of a plea agreement.

On day one of the trial, Crowther’s defense submitted a motion to exclude evidence of mortgage fraud and according to court records the order was granted.

On day three, witnesses were called, and Crowther’s defense filed a motion for Judgment of Acquittal.

The trial continues but there is no word on when a verdict will be handed down.
