NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla.-- The Women's US National Team has been inspiring young athletes around the world including some in Southwest Florida.

Tyler Bush in North Fort Myers has watched almost every game, and is an athlete who has dedicated his whole life to soccer.

“Train hard and don’t give up," said Tyler.

His motto for success on the field is simple. At 12-years-old, he plays for Global Competitive Soccer which lead him to train with other teams in Germany with Bayern Munich.

"It was good to see how they play and how I can improve my game," he said. While training in Germany, Tyler said he learned you need to train hard and pass the ball quickly.

The young athlete was also accepted to the MLS Academy in Miami that trains with David Beckham's club team.

Tyler's team on the field and at home have helped him along the way. However, his dad said it's completely worth it.

"A lot of traveling in part of it, but it's great reward seeing your kids doing well and having fun," said Greg Bush.

Tyler's Coach–– Robert Peltrom with the GPS league–– said it's his perseverance that make him standout among other players.

“He’s someone who does a lot of work on his own and on his off nights and his perseverance clearly paid off,” said Peltrom.

Out of all of the sport to choose from, Peltrom said there is something special about soccer.

“American football is a coach-centered game. That’s the beauty of soccer. The kid and the players are the ones making the calls because the game is so fast and constant."

Tyler fell in love with the game when he was just 3-year-old. As we watches the US Women's Team dominate on the world stage, he has hopes to reach that same level one goal at a time.
