Increased LeeTran trolley service to begin January 5th

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Just in time for the busy winter season, LeeTran will start running more routes to Fort Myers Beach.

The additional trolley service on the island will start Sunday, January 5th.

It will depart from LeeTran’s Beach Park & Ride located at 11101 Summerlin Square Drive on the corner of Pine Ridge Road and Summerlin Square Drive.

January 5th is also when the LeeTram returns with extended hours. The trams will continue to be free.

It will run from Bowditch Point Park to Matanzas Pass Preserve. The beach tram is estimated to run every 15 minutes, depending on traffic, seven days a week. Service starts 8 a.m. at Bowditch Park with the last pickup at 11:30 p.m. at Matanzas Pass Preserve.
