LEE COUNTY, Fla., -- Fort Myers Police are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex off Winkler Avenue on Sunday.
According to Fort Myers Police, it happened around 5:45 p.m. Sunday at the at Village Creek Apartments. That's located just west of Metro Parkway on Winkler Avenue.
They say 24-year-old Eric Galvan was shot by a black male accompanied by an additional black male, who both immediately fled the scene.
Friends who were with Galvan drove him to Lee Memorial Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
Police say this was not a random act.
