NAPLES, Fla. — A man has been arrested after the Collier County Sheriff's Office says he stole thousands of dollars from a couple he was doing work for.
Deputies say the couple from Michigan hired a plumbing company to do some repairs at their residence in East Naples.
According to arrest reports, Golden Gate plumber Anthony Cianfieri, 53, did work at the couple's home on multiple occasions in late December and January.
Deputies say he took $8,000 from the couple located in two envelopes he found inside the residence.
The couple told the sheriff's office they started noticing the money missing inside their envelopes and contacted law enforcement.
The sheriff's office says Cianfieri confessed and was taken into custody at the Collier County Jail. He's been charged with a felony; grand theft of $5,000 to $10,000.
