Florida Fish and Wildlife officially removed the bear trap from the Sandoval neighborhood yesterday after claiming the last bear sighting was reported to them on Friday.

FWC says there's a good chance the bear has moved on its own to another area.

Sandoval's Home Owners Association said they've been in constant communication with FWC since the bear has been reported in that neighborhood. They're confident in FWC's help to remove this bear.

There was also another bear sighting in a Sandoval garage recently.

Shawn Hindson said he walked outside his home around 10:30 p.m. to walk his dog when he saw the bear standing in his garage.

"There was bear fur all over the car and also bear paw prints," Hindson said. "I see the bear kind of standing up in my garbage in the garage."

He said the bear ran between him and his car then his dog chased after it.

He also said it looked like the bear was afraid of him and just wanted to get away.

Anyone who spots a bear in Sandoval or anywhere in general is asked to contact FWC and report it.
