Despite being warned by the moderator, hecklers booed and jeered during a town hall hosted by Rep. Francis Rooney (R-Florida).

"The First Amendment guarantees free speech.  That's a two way street.  That's free speech to speak, and free speech to accept and respect other people's right to speak as well," Rooney told Fox 4 before the meeting.

But for some, the heckling began even before the town hall did.

"When I sat down, I was called a slur about women who can't keep their legs closed, because of my Planned Parenthood shirt," said Annie Filkowski.  "I was called a whore."

Rooney tried to answer constituent questions and concerns ranging from President Trump's budget to Planned Parenthood, but was interrupted several times.

"I'm disappointed that we have a lot of people who come here with an ax to grind, and are not particularly interested in listening to what the Congressman had to say," said Robert Rappaport of Naples.

Filkowski believes a lot of the anger is stemming from last year's election.

"Since the election it's been totally polarizing, it's become this whole thing of them against us.  It's really unfortunate because we are all here on the same planet."

Supporters and foes of President Trump did agree on one issue.  They criticized comedian Kathy Griffin for posing in a picture with an image of President Trump's bloodied, and severed head.
