NAPLES, Fla. --- The Florida Health Department in Collier County and community partners will be offering free rapid HIV testing in observance of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.
Testing will begin March 12 through March 16 with times varying due to location.
According to he Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, over 280,000 women aged 13 and older are living with HIV in the United States and 7,402 women were diagnosed with HIV in 2015.
Women in Collier County account for approximately 28 percent of all HIV cases.
All testing sites in Collier County will be offering free, rapid HIV testing with same day results.
