The kennels at Collier County Domestic Animals Services (DAS) are filled to capacity with dogs. So, to help find these wonderful animals homes, DAS is offering free dog adoptions until Saturday, June 17.

“We have had a large influx of dogs in recent weeks and we want to make sure these animals find good, loving homes,” said Darcy Andrade, Director of Collier County DAS. “We hope the waived adoption fee will encourage people who are interested or thinking about adding a new dog to their family will visit our shelter and adopt.”

From puppies to older dogs, big or small, short-haired or long-haired, Collier County Domestic Animal Services has them all.

Please visit DAS at either the Naples shelter, 7610 Davis Blvd., Naples, Florida 34104, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, or the Immokalee shelter, 405 Sgt. Joe Jones Road, Immokalee, Florida 34142, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, to find your furry friend.

Adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, heartworm test for dogs, and 30 days of free pet insurance. That’s a value of more than $400.

Not only will guests be able to adopt a new family member at no cost, they will also have the chance to help other animals at the shelter by donating to the DAS Donation Trust Fund. The Donation Trust Fund pays for the medical care of sick and injured animals that come into the shelter.
