FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Leaders from the Scripps Howard Foundation and Fox 4 News visit two community organizations in Fort Myers on Monday to get a closer look at their contributions to the Southwest Florida community.
One visit was to the Harry Chapin Food Bank's Fort Myers Distribution Center, where they packed food kits for a senior food program, then headed off to a Fulfill Mobile Pantry to distribute food to families in need. They ended the day by presenting the food bank with a $2,500 check.
They also visited the Quality Life Center, where they toured the facility and presented them with a $2,500 check.
