Fort Myers shooting leaves two injured

FORT MYERS, Fla. — On Friday morning, Lee Memorial Hospital reported that a young male with a gunshot wound arrived at their emergency room.

While the Fort Myers Police Department began investigation, a second young male arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

All injuries are reported to be from the same incident. The juveniles were treated and released.

The victims say the shooting happened near the intersection of Metro Parkway and Winkler Avenue.

This is an active investigation, but police says there is no danger to the public.
