Fort Myers High School on lockout due to off campus police activity

FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Fort Myers Police Department says Fort Myers High School is on lockout due to an incident that occurred at Lee Memorial Hospital.

The incident that occurred is still unclear at this time.

Fox 4 received the following statement from FMPD:

"The school is on a lockout which just means all outdoor activities will be indoors and no visitors. This was an admin decision from the school. We have no concerns for safety. We are looking for a witness to an incident. There is no threat to the community. This was not a crime committed it is simply an investigation, " Officer Kristin Capuzzi, Public Information Officer.
