DUNBAR, Fla. — Ask most people in the Dunbar community, and they'll tell you exactly where you can find what many call the "best peanuts in town".

Neighborhood corner store, Wright's Groceries, is a go-to place for the snack.

But, most people don't refer to the store located off of Palm Avenue in Fort Myers as "Wright Groceries".

Instead, locals know it as "Dave's Store".

A part of the community since 1964, Dave's Store's an integral part of the Dunbar community.

Dave was, too.

"He was a great man. Everybody loved him. There was never a dull moment with my grandfather around. He was always known as Captain Dave."

Those words of admiration are from Chay Fulcher - the store's newest owner and proud granddaughter of Dave Fulcher.

The Fort Myers High School and Florida Memorial University graduate returned to the community after her grandfather died.

At the time, the business was also in danger of closing.

"By staying in the family, if it went anywhere else...I couldn't see him resting good, you know? If he got wind of it," she tells FOX 4.

Now, the proud owner of the store known for its peanuts and "Soul Bowl" stew says she has big plans for the future.

"I would like to see my business grow. I would like to see it to another level."
