FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Lee County Commissioners have given the approval for Fort Myers Brewing Company to purchase land to build a new facility double the size of their current operation.

The new project is planned for a 22-acre lot next to their current location off Commerce Lakes Drive at Daniels Parkway.

The new space will be comprised of both commerce and community, featuring a multi-purpose 40,000-square-foot facility with malt beverage manufacturing and packaging, a large tasting hall, private event space, and outdoor beer garden.

“It’s a dream come true for us to expand our locally grown brewing operations, and this opportunity is all due to our loyal friends, neighbors and community who have supported us from day one,” says co-owner Jen Whyte.

Fort Myers Brewing opened in 2013 with 1,500 square feet and now occupies just under 20,000 square feet.
