A Marion County man is charged with 11 counts of child porn.

59-year-old Allen Cormier faced a Collier County judge Friday.

According to court documents, Cormier moved from Naples to Colorado earlier this year.

In April, Cormier's wife Kathleen found a laptop, DVD's, and flash drive with thousands of videos of nude children engaged in sexual acts.

The report says Allen told his wife during a phone call:  "Yea so what, they're just naked little girls, why is that a big deal?"

Cormier's wife alerted police about the images, and Cormier was arrested.

Neighbors say they've seen very little activity around Cormier's home for weeks.

"It's surprising to be able to have someone near where you live is in that type of situation, especially when it involved minors," said Jorge Dominguez, who moved into the neighborhood recently.

Cormier's wife told investigators some of the images date back to the early 2000's and the couple knew some of the children in them.

Dominguez is concerned Cormier was living near him.

"It's a neighborhood that is close to an elementary school, there's schools around it, so it's definitely a big plus this person was apprehended in time."

Other neighbors tell us this will make them much more aware of who is living nearby.

"Definitely makes you think you should keep your eyes open, and know what's going on that's for sure," said Bryant Johnson.

Cormier is being held in the Collier County Jail on a $600,000 bond.
