Florida Highway Patrol to hold DUI Wolfpack in DeSoto County

DESOTO COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol plans to hold a DUI Wolfpack on Friday through Saturday.

The DUI Wolfpack Detail will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2020, until 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

The detail will take place in Desoto County, focusing on major state and county roadways.

FHP organizers say they do this to proactively remove impaired drivers from the roadways and ultimately enhance the motoring public's safety.

Troopers will be mobile while monitoring traffic to maximize their visibility and effectiveness in removing impaired roadways drivers. Driving impaired from alcohol or drugs puts everyone on the roadways in danger.

Florida law considers a driver with .08 or higher Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) to be impaired. Drivers under the age of 21 with a BAC of .02 or higher are also in violation of Florida law.
