FORT MYERS, Fla — Florida Highway Patrol has arrested a man for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs after they say he aggressively accelerated and turned his 2016 Dodge Charger within the front parking lot of their office in Fort Myers.

It happened Sunday night.

Troopers say they conducted a traffic stop, and Dallas Joseph Ziemski was placed under arrest.

Because he was highly impaired, Ziemski was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, FHP says.

They say once he is cleared from the hospital, he will be booked in the Lee County Jail.
