CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Someone dropped off five adult cats in five carriers at the Cape Coral Animal Shelter on Saturday.
The cats were found with other donated items.
A volunteer noticed the person drive off and found the kitties.
“We do the very best we can to take them quickly with our very limited space, and we can provide you with other options”.
The Cape Coral Animal Shelter asks that people follow the procedures when dropping animals off.
“ We offered to keep them but the process is delayed since we have to make sure these cats are not someone’s missing pet that was caught and turned in. Not having the backstory of the animal makes everything more difficult for everyone involved, “ Cape Coral Animal Shelter.
